I went to Atelier Sofitel for celebrating of our 5 years anniversary. Atmosphere is nice and can see views of Darling Harbour.
We arrived at 7 pm and greeted by receptionist. She is congrat to us. I mentioned about this when I booked through thefork.com. We sat down and one of waiter gave menu and my hubby asking what kind of food is famous. The waiter can give good explanation. We have ordered quite a lot of food for two of us.
Overall, atmosphere and food is nice. However, there is some of foods probably can improve. We still will go there.
Xl Yamba prawn: kalamata olive and using cherry tomatoes but not seasonings the taste is alright. the prawn is grilled but seems not seasoning and yamba prawn it is not sweet enough seems as frozen prawn.
Tart of Queensland spanner crab.
the tart is fresh as waiter mentioned is housemade sous thin and crispy. my partner does not like ginger and the ginger is confit ginger and does not really taste as ginger. the crab is combined well with mango and feel freshness from crab and feeling like salad and this is good for summer when the weather is hot. my hubby loved this second starter than previous.

New Zealand hanukah with horseradish oil
the skin of fish crunch and crispy and fish taste is really nice combine with sauce and veggie.
Queensland nolan rib eye on the bone
my hubby ordered medium cook for steak and served with red wine sauce and rocket salad with pepper taste additional side potato mash. the meat does not have smell and really juicy. the meat cooked perfectly

potato gnocchi
gnocchi is soft and combined well with truffle sauce, mushroom and spinach. side dish brocolli with crispy onion make the taste is better because brocolli taste feel like sauted with butter
potato salad with pickle onion
salad is nice combined and kipper potato well combined with smoky pork and veggie so the taste is not oily. Actually, I think the restaurant menu need to mebtion with smoky pork instead of the name potato salad with pickle onion because I was vegetarian that time.so, my hubby ate everything and he said actually the salad so nice.

Brocollini with crispy onion: I loved this vegie because taste kinda grilled or frying with high degree and crispy onion normally always put to nasi goreng but they put on the top of brocollini and taste is so nice
Paris Potato Mash: my hubby ordered this as side dish and eating together with his steak. He loves of this mash potato with well combined with steak and so smooth.

Buche De Noel:dessert is lovely. I thought the dessert will be sweet. actually, is fine and smoothly combined of caramelization of cake and vanilla cream. Waiter also brought another dessert as complimentary for our anniversary and We really happy and appreciate it.
